Expectations
Course students are expected to attend and participate in all lecture, lab and evening sessions, including dinners with guest lecturers. Be prepared to interact with fellow class members and lecturers. You will be expected to ask questions, be involved in discussions, and think critically. This course is an opportunity to learn from the top researchers in the spinal cord injury field through discussion and debate.
Course sessions are held Monday through Friday, however students will be responsible for animal care on weekends.
Cost

Tuition - $2,000
Housing - $1,000
Students who require housing will be in the Campus Village Complex, which is across the street from the course. Campus Village has fully furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartments. You will have a room to yourself, but will share the apartment with another from the course. Please note, cost for housing is subject to change.
Course Credit
Graduate students may take the SCI Research Techniques course for credit, which is listed as a 4-credit course. Credits are $888 with a $170 registration fee for those outside the UC system and $100 registration fee for those inside the UC system. Please note, cost for course credit is subject to change.
Meals
Breakfast and lunch are provided Monday-Friday.

Location
The SCI Research Techniques Course is held at the Reeve-Irvine Research Center, University of California at Irvine. Irvine is in Southern California between LA and San Diego. The weather in July is generally in the mid 80's with no rain. The Center is 10 min from the Pacific Ocean.
